After spending some time at a sister’s this afternoon Vickie returned to her current residence.
This evening she had a visit with a nurse for the purpose of a quick physical check up. Vickie was cooperative and very responsive with appropriate answers to the questions posed by the nurse.

There were no new developments in Vickie’s condition today.

Vickie has a slight fever this evening, possibly an infection returning. Tests tomorrow will help determine the cause.

Vickie visited at a sister’s this afternoon for the first time since she has been in her new home.

Although Vickie still exhibits obsessive habits as she has in the past, she will acknowledge anyone in the room and engage in a rudimentary conversation.

No change in Vickie’s condition or behavior today.

Vickie’s demeanor has become calmer in the last two weeks. She seems more aware and responsive.

It appears Vickie is receiving excellent care in the adult foster home. The decision has been made to have her stay there permanently. If her condition or other circumstances change then the situation will be reevaluated.

Since Vickie has spent almost all of her time indoors the last two years, her pale complexion was no match for the summer sun. She now has her first sunburn in several years after being outside for a short period of time this afternoon.

Vickie is still maintaining her new improved condition. She is more alert and will comment on things going on around her.

Vickie’s appetite is still very good although the East European style food that is often served is not always to her liking. There also is an emphasis on health food that she is not used to.

While Vickie still exhibits some of the negative behaviors from before last week there is definitely a difference. Mostly it’s in her ability to converse while doing the obsessive motions she has displayed so often in the past.

Vickie’s condition seems to have stabilized. She continues to eat her meals and will interact with others on a limited basis.
She appears to be comfortable in her new surroundings and cooperates with her new caregiver.

Vickie had plenty of visitors today to entertain.
She is maintaining her overall improved condition. Still eating her meals and staying somewhat alert to others.

Vickie was discharged from the hospital this morning. Instead of returning to her home she went to a private foster care home a short distance away. She will stay there for several weeks.
It’s difficult to determine the reason but Vickie’s demeanor seems to have improved in the last two days. Her appetite has improved along with an increase in her sense of self-awareness. She is talking more and remarking on her own situation.

Vickie remains at LM.H.MC. Friday night. A change in medication seems to already be producing positive results. This evening she was talkative and calmer than she has been for some time. She ate her hospital dinner and would have eaten more if it were available.

A serious misjudgment by this caregiver concerning Vickie’s medication probably led to the seizure she suffered today. She will stay at L.M.H. MC where she is in stable condition,at least into Friday.
